Spotlight: Liz Strong

Liz Strong:
Born and raised-
Liz was born and raised mostly in Salt Lake. She also lived in Logan and Mesa, Arizona for just a short time.

What brought her to St. George-
Liz and her husband just had a feeling that they needed to move to St. George. They still aren't exactly sure why, but they love that the winters are as cold as they are in Salt Lake.

Schooling and career-
Liz graduated from the University of Utah in elementary education. She taught preschool for many years, but she decided that she liked the business field. Right now, she works at home helping her husband with his marketing company as his business manager. For fun and to get out of the house once a week, she works at kitchen corner assisting the chef during cooking classes.

How they met-
Ken and Liz met at Halloween Institute dance at the U of U. His first words were, "I was going to ask her to dance, but I guess I'll ask you." She thought he was a jerk, and he thought she was a snob; however, they got to know each other better through the institute sorority and fraternity where they both served. They went swing dancing every Thursday night with a group and became really good friends. Eventually, she decided to take a chance and actually asked him out but found that he was planning to ask her out the same night.

Kids (names and ages)-
Astin 9, Fiona 6, Lucienne 4

Hobbies and favorites-
Liz has many things that she likes to do including running, skiing, mountain biking, yoga, CrossFit, drawing, sewing, and creating new things.

Something unique about you-
Liz is a self proclaimed art gook. She loves all art: music, visual art, and film. She loves a good foreign film or documentary, and she's not bored at all!
