Spotlight-Brittney Bethers

Brittney Baugh Bethers

I grew up in Providence,Ut a small town in Cache Valley. There are 7 kids in my family and I was the 4th child, following 3 boys. Growing up with 3 older brothers, I got to do all the things boys do. My dad ran the baseball leagues and we spent a lot of time at the ball park. We would get up at 6am for early morning batting practice 3-4 times a week,my love for the mornings began young, didn't want to miss out on the fun. I played boys baseball until I was 11 years old, and my Mom decided that was enough. I decided to focus on Soccer. At 14-18yrs old I traveled to Salt Lake to play on a club team and train with the Olympic Development team. We traveled all over: California, Washington, Idaho,Iowa, Nevada, Kentucky, Wyoming, Mexico. My Senior year I played in a few tournaments with the Spiders-a semi professional team out of Salt Lake, which was a really fun experience.

I got a scholarship and played for Utah State for 4 years and got a Bachelors in Family, Consumer Science w/emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Now I enjoy training Emi's team, doing college summer camps when I can, and most of all being a Mom. There is not anything more humbling than being filled with a house full of little kids, but also nothing as rewarding. Our days are full of excitement, work, laughing, tears, and we have a lot of fun. I love to run and swim, mountain bike, reading good books, visiting new places, cooking, working on projects, love spending time with my brothers and sisters.

I met Dave in my Senior year at Utah State. He was working on his Masters-Education in Instructional Technology.  We have been blessed with 5 children. Emi(11) Kade(9) Dottie(7), Rod(5), Owen(3)

-My mom came from a family of 14-I have 96 first cousins. We spent a lot of time up in Afton Wyoming, Bear Lake, growing up.My Mom and my Grandma are 2 of the hardest workers I know, my hero's.  I love my Savior and depend on him for so much. I love the Temple, love seeing lives change for the better, inspiring stories, meeting new people. Right now in the ward I teach in primary with Dave and  serve as the Cubmaster.
-Fav. Quote: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with the wings of eagles, they shall run and not be weary and walk and not faint."
