This Weeks Spotlights

Laura Vanderslice:

Born and raised: Born in Tennessee, move d around a lot but graduated from Delta High School.
Travel: Laura has traveled to England, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Paris, Spain and the Bahamas.  She is currently planning a trip to Spain and anyone who wants to come is welcome, just ask her for the details!
Education and skills: Laura has her Masters Degree in Education.  She teaches English at Dixie Middle School.
Family: Laura and Kurt have 5 boys together.  Kurt works at Southgate Golf Course.
Hobbies: Laura loves to workout.  She participates in triathlons and other races. She and Kurt are currently preparing for the Spartans race this summer.
Favorite Church Calling: She enjoys teaching adults (Relief Society and Sunday School) and also enjoyed her calling in Young Women.
Dream Vacation: Fiji
Something Unique about Laura: She has moved 43 times in her life.  Laura is left handed.

Jalene Bastian:

Born and raised: Born in Gunnison and then grew up in Loa.
Travel: Went on a 10 day cruise thru the Caribbean.
Education and Skills:  Jalene graduated from SUU and has been teaching school for 11 years.  She is currently teaching Kindergarten at Heritage Elementary School.
Family: Jalene and Jeremy have been married for 4 ½ years and have
2 children.  Jeremy works for Stone Tree Landscaping.
Hobbies: Jalene loves reading.  She also enjoys camping, four wheeling and shopping.
Favorite Church Calling: Young Women
Dream Vacation: Hawaii
Something Unique about Jalene: She grew up on a farm.

This Week's Spotlights

Kari Ingram

Born and raised: Grew up in Roosevelt and moved to St. George at 17.

Education and skills: Kari is a 3rd grade teacher at Riverside Elementary and just got her master’s degree!!

Family: Kari and Cody have been married for 3 ½ years.  They have 6 kids between the two of them and are expecting a baby girl next month.  Kari and Cody both work for Washington County School District. Cody is the head custodian for Dixie Middle School.

Hobbies: Kari really loves to read and teach and dance.

Favorite Church Calling: Relief Society Teacher

Dream Vacation: Italy, Greece, Europe

Something unique about Kari: She and Cody met online. They have lived in Sun Valley for almost 4 months.

Jessica King

Born and raised: Salt Lake, St. George but mostly Rexburg, Idaho

Education and skills: Attended Rick’s College and BYU, graduating with her degree in University Studies.

Family: Jessica and Seth have 5 kids with one on the way.  Seth teaches Seminary at Snow Canyon and also teaches online courses for BYU Idaho and Dixie College.  He just finished his dissertation and will receive his doctorate degree soon!  Jessica is really excited for this!

Hobbies: plays musical instruments (piano, guitar &violin) and singing

Favorite Church Calling: Relief Society Teacher

Dream Vacation: Europe 

Something unique about Jessica: She studied abroad in London for a few months while in college.  She has club feet and enjoys Celtic music.  They have lived in Sun Valley for almost a year.

Brian and Jessica McCann are the proud parents of a new baby girl. Cozette Charlette was born Monday, March 4th. She was 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 20.5". Everyone is doing well.
